Protecting your family from germs and bacteria

Miera Tan February 19, 2015 No Comments

Though not visible to the naked eye, germs and bacteria still widespread and can be transmitted through contact. It is important to inculcate the healthy habit of personal hygiene with your family members especially kids, which includes hand washing and bathing with soap in order to stay ahead of germ protection and ensuring the best health for the family.

When my youngest daughter does nothing much during school holidays she is bound to be rolling around on the carpet, watching TV, playing with her tablet and cuddling with our pet cat, Muezza.

According to a research by Philip Tierno, Jr., Ph.D. a New York University Langone Medical Centre microbiologist and immunologist, our carpet is extremely filthy. There is approximately 200,000 bacteria per square inch, which is about 4,000 times more bacteria then you can find in your toilet!!!

Ugg….. gross… what can we do to counter that? For me, I use Lifebuoy Total 10 Body Wash for my family, especially my little girl.

Lifebuoy Total 10 Body Wash contains Active5 along with active thymol, known for its powerful, natural antiseptic properties. The rich, creamy foam reaches deep into our skin pores, deeply cleanses and removes germs, leaving our skin feeling cleansed and refreshed.

The smell is especially fresh and my little girl loves the scent . Isn’t that just great… and the price?

Absolutely affordable and reasonable…. 500ml for RM10.90 and 1000ml for RM19.90

I can confidently say that my family is protected with Lifebuoy. With the right superior germ protection on the go, all Malaysian families can constantly stay protected anytime, anywhere.

Advanced Lifebuoy soap is lab-proven for long lasting germ protection, now in an improved formulation with Active5, an intelligent selection of germ-protection agents. Lifebuoy provides you
and your family germ protection even hours after bath.

Other Lifebuoy products I like….

Lifebuoy Total 10 Hand Wash contains active thymol, commonly used by the ancient Greeks to ward off infectious diseases. Thymol has been used in medicine for many years due to its anti-infectious
properties and its pure oil format is good for warding off colds. The special formula is proven to kill 99.9% of harmful germs in just 10 seconds while advanced ingredients care for skin.
Retail price: 200ml for RM6.50

The rich, creamy lather of Lifebuoy Bar soap leaves you fresh and clean, while the advanced formulation cares for your skin.
Retail price: 80g (x3 bars) for RM4.80 and 115 (x3 bars) for RM6.10

15 dos and don’ts on how to live your own life within your marriage / relationship.

How can you balance life between giving to your partner and having a life of your own?

Here are some ways as how you can date/be married or have a relationship with that someone but NOT lose yourself.

How to get your kids to do housework

Miera Tan February 3, 2015 No Comments

Getting kids to do chores is definitely hard. As a Mom, I have had my fair share of screaming, “Please clean up your room!” Or “Please vacuum the hall” and my daughter will reply “I’ll do it later!” and worse, sometimes she never gets on it.
It is pretty simple. kids don’t like doing chores as it is boring and so that is why they resist them.
And in certain Malaysian or Asian families, sons are important to them and there are plenty of instances, let off doing housework.
Sometimes, because it feels like you are always reminding, nagging, or grumbling at your kids just to get them to do their part with the chores, you may decide to let chores slide. It is so much easier to do the jobs yourself. Read more

Scott’s launch Nationwide Search for Most “Momazing” Moments of all Time

Miera Tan February 2, 2015 No Comments

I am a mother of three children, and two step kids. Being a mom can be quite hard but it can also be pretty rewarding, and some say the best job on the planet. You do not get a day off and it can be pretty challenging from time to time especially when the right choices are not always available or clear.

Then there are those simply astounding and surprisingly heart warming moments when your offspring does something small but pretty amazing to you. That is what is known as a ‘Momazing’ moment.

Momazing is that mix of pride, accomplishment, joy, relief, and the confidence and reassurance of getting it right . Every mother gets to feel that every once in a while.
